Day 329.

The boiler broke for the second time in two days yesterday; when I went into Moon's room to see him this morning this is how he was sat. So lovely.

Day 290.

I'm finding that Monday night seems to be bath-night now, I'm not sure if it's because I have some pretty nice bubble bath, or because the bath is the perfect size, but it's working out pretty well. This is tonight's green bath, it was green thanks to a lovely LUSH avocado and lemon bath bomb. Mmmm.

Day 288.

I have been here all day, thinking about my sore stomach and watching rubbish TV. I did manage to get through a chapter in one of my dissertation books though.

Day 278.

So, my ink cartridges got delivered to my old house and a new tenant from the old house rang me up to tell me. I was already in my jogging bottoms so I was like 'effort', but the guy dropped them off to me, I was pretty happy. What a nice guy, it was like £50 worth of ink cartridges, I'm pretty sure I told them to change the address too, but I don't think I'll cheat them into sending me another £50 worth.

This is what 9-11 in the morning looked like today, but I have my Glastonbury ticket for next year. I'm so happy, randomly I got through first and just got everyone's ticket. Long's registration number nearly didn't work (again) but for some reason his number from last year worked. Hopefully we won't need to worry about where it gets delivered too because the old number is assigned to his old Uni address. I'm so happy and excited, let's just hope the weather is as great. It's hard to imagine that it will ever be sunny again with the way the weather is at the moment.

Day 270.

This is a photo of the ring that came with the candles that Long and Moon bought to go with Chris' Hannah Montana cake. You can alternate your Disney Princesses should you so wish.
Today was Chris' 22nd birthday, so we went out for a meal at Giraffe - because we had vouchers, not because we're millionaires - and then went to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World. It was the second time around for me seeing Scott Pilgrim, I wanted to watch it again as soon as I came out of the cinema, and all the boys loved it, for some reason we were the only people in the cinema laughing...
Giraffe was nice, I had quesadillas, and told everyone how to say it properly, "kwes-a-de-ahs".

Day 258, 259, 260, 261 & 262.

So I've not had the internet for a bit and it's time to play a bit of catch-up, horrible, but quite easy and I'll feel better about doing it again when I'm back on track.

Day 258.
Moving Day, I haven't felt that overwhelmed in a long time, this isn't even a photo of everything, it's probably not even half. I hadn't really thought through how much smaller this place is in comparison to last years house.

Day 259.
Long went back to Bodmin to work but Chris, Moon and I went to Ikea to pick up a few things that the house was lacking. I like this photograph so much, I printed it out and stuck it to the fridge.

Day 260.
This is a photo of the kind of set up I currently have in my room, it's getting comfier by the day and I think I'm beginning to feel more like I live here.

Day 261.
I'm not going to lie, this is probably one of the worst photos I've ever taken, and probably the last I will take with my D60. It's out of focus and so lazily composed, but it is pretty much a sum of how I spent Sunday.

Day 262.

So we went to Babylon last night and it was packed, the night didn't end quite as I'd have hoped it to, but I think I still had an alright time. I slipped on the wet floor though - not from being drunk, just because the floor was so wet from spilled drinks, honestly, Freshers are horrible.

Day 223.

We have a house house house! It's so, so nice!
I'm so excited to move in. Eeep, roll on September 16.

Day 222.

Moon finally got his acceptance letter to do his Masters in Portsmouth in September. I am so pleased because it means that we can kick start the house-hunting, and as we're not looking for four, it's going to be easy. I love (what is basically) nosing round houses, we've got 2 really nice ones lined up for tomorrow morning. Early start.

Day 221.

© Ruth Johnston 2010.

Today was Moon's brother's 19th birthday, I suddenly feel very old, not because he is so much younger than me, because he isn't but, frames of mind tend to differ between young people who have experienced something and young people who haven't and let's just say the difference was fairly obvious once his friends arrived.
Although I do wish him a very happy birthday and a great time at Uni when he joins us at Portsmouth in September, I just can't wait for the day that he realises people throwing up isn't hilarious.

Day 202.

© Ruth Johnston 2010.

I went to the dentist today, yesterday Moon and I were looking at all the nice houses round the winding residential roads of New Malden, I spotted this one this afternoon, so out of place, so cool.
I need a filling and my wisdom teeth are hurting me, bullies.

Day 157.

© Ruth Johnston 2010.

My bed is gone, it wasn't as much hassle as I thought it would be, probably because I didn't have to do much and Moon did most of it.
My room now looks incredibly bare, I can't believe I'm moving out in a few days and that I have to pack up my life once again. Even without my bed, my room is still quite awesome, now I have so much space, for jumping and dancing...

Day 110.

© Ruth Johnston 2010.

Moon, Chris and I went to look at a house today, it would have been really nice, if the people living in it weren't so filthy.
I wonder if it would be out of order to ask the Estate Agent whether they will deep clean the place, should we move in, I have arranged a few other viewings for next week, fingers crossed they feel more like 'the one'.

I've made a lot of plans today.
Apparently I have to pitch an idea to a band....... in front of other photographers that I'm up against.......

Day 77.

I did a lot more work today than I thought I would, I think Mad Men increases productivity.

Day 66.

© Ruth Johnston 2010.

These shoes were £2, I bought two pairs, these, and a white pair for tomorrow. They are reasonably ok and I have no blisters on my feet, I feel there is some sort of moral dilemma trying to rear it's ugly head, I spent less on both pairs of shoes than I did on the magazines I bought today.
Sorry sweatshop workers.
Both pairs of shoes weren't much less than my cinema ticket for Alice in Wonderland either, it was much better than the shoes though. I like Johnny Depp.

Day 29.

© Ruth Johnston 2010

I have spent the majority of today on the sofa, not because I was feeling particularly hungover from last night or anything, just because I was feeling overwhelmingly lazy. I have roasted my first beef this evening though, it should be delicious.
It's lovely to sit of the sofa and watch T4 all afternoon anyway, particularly when it's freezing in every other part of the house and there is a fire in the lounge. Don't really know how I lived in the house last year.

This represents pre-drinks for what is sure to be an awesome night.

Day 22.

© Ruth Johnston 2010

Gabriella made the house a delicious roast beef lunch this afternoon, look how much broccoli she gave us. How much broccoli is that? So much broccoli.
It was so tasty, the meal, not just the broccoli, I sure am loving this 'getting on as a house' thing, it's so much better and more enjoyable than last year's shambles.
