Day 333.

© Ruth Johnston 2010.

I'm feeling quite inspired today, but I'm not really sure what I would use this for, so it's going here.
I think it's because of finally getting my half-Chinese portrait taken.

Day 328.

So, I've been playing around with layouts a bit for the half-Chinese project. I feel it wrapping up but I don't know how to finish off the research.

Day 297.

I'm so pleased with myself. I'm bang up to date with all of the work for my half-Chinese project, now all I need to do is get onto the same level with my dissertation, I think it will be best to put a day aside next week as whole of this week after Wednesday is full, you'll see.

Day 294.

This is Rishi Ghosh, he's half-Chinese, half-Indian, a pretty interesting mix. He's an actor who lives in London, he said he might bring his younger sister over to help out with my project which would be cool. I thought I'd put this un-edited version on as I'm so happy the lighting is finally working properly.

Day 293.

The tutorial ended up going really well, I'm pretty pleased. I'm also more up to date with everything than I thought I was - this is a photo of my sketchbook. I copped up on the text a bit though.

Day 292.

So, I'm kind of stressing about all my images for my tutorial tomorrow being the same and 'good enough' to be put onto the wall. I don't even know what I'm going to say :\

Day 286.

I'm so happy that my shoot today went well that this is today's 365. Not only was this guy really nice, but everything went according to plan and nothing broke. I hope the rest of the week goes well...

Day 283.

So, without my lights, I'm a bit lost. I had to do a shoot for my half-Chinese project today and the photos didn't turn out as well as I'd hope. I'm waiting on a new sync cable and two new modelling bulbs. This is unedited but even the unedited studio-lit ones of Izzy and Rio weren't this bad. I'm a bit scared that I'll have to ask this guy back for a re-shoot, but his photos will be much better so I'm not sure. I might have to cancel my shoot tomorrow...

Day 279.

I was meant to go back to New Malden today, but my tutorial was so long that I was too tired and stressed to bother facing the long train journey. I'll go tomorrow, I got some decent criticisms, but ended up with a stress-headache and being very annoyed too, not due to my crit, just due to certain people on my course. Urgh.
Here is a photo of my work on the wall.

Day 276.

I feel like I have officially entered work-mode, I think the results tomorrow will be much more impressive.
I have books, I've read and I've printed out things. I'm not looking forward to the cutting and sticking though.

Day 274.

So, today Rio and Izzy came all the way down here to help me out with my half-Chinese project, I've consciously decided not to put one of their portraits as part of the 365 because I don't think it flows with the rest of what's going on here. But I think it went quite well, we talked a lot about being half-Chinese and then we went for lunch and then I took them to see the burnt-down dinosaur, it smelt really weird. The weather was pretty miserable but it was a pretty nice, productive and busy day and I'm very happy that they helped me out.

Day 263.

So, today was a bit of a rush and I think I narrowly avoided a hangover on top of everything else.
I was back into Uni today and they went over how thing are going to work this year, I'm literally in 6 hours (in one day) a week. I've decided I'm handing out a few flyers to get some models for the project, it calls for being at least a bit proactive. I just hope it works, I think I'll try emailing some more in a couple of days.
